Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search box is transmitted to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and returns its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It stays within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive routine technical information when a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- A referring website, when one is reported
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We and our analytics services use them to understand traffic in aggregate, including popular pages and where visits end. You may block cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how some features work.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Florence County guidance identifies official custodians such as the Sheriff's Office, Circuit Court, Wisconsin DOJ Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal dossiers.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies run the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention rules, and disclosure practices apply to information submitted through those tools. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before entering a query.

Links may lead to Florence County agencies, Wisconsin courts, state services, legal resources, and commercial search tools. Once you leave this website, the destination's policy governs. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads.

Wisconsin government record access is separately governed by the Wisconsin Public Records Law, Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31–19.39, while CIB criminal-history dissemination rests on Wis. Stat. §§ 165.82–165.84. Those public-record laws do not turn this private website into a government records authority. Subject to applicable law, you may:
