About Florence County Criminal History

Florence County criminal records are split between the sheriff and jail on Lake Avenue, the Circuit Court clerk at the courthouse, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin DOC systems. We organize those distinct routes so readers can identify the right public portal, counter, mailing address, or phone line for the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Wisconsin provides several public record channels, yet no single Florence County database contains the whole history. The Florence County Sheriff's Office holds its incident and booking material. The Clerk of Circuit Court maintains filed charges, case events, judgments, and certified court copies. Wisconsin DOJ's Crime Information Bureau operates the statewide criminal-history repository and WORCS, while Wisconsin DOC maintains custody, supervision, and the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. We bring those official roles, search paths, request steps, and known costs into a clear local reference.

What You Will Find Here

  • Local record routes: how to search and read Florence County court cases
  • Agency details: where to contact the sheriff, jail, Circuit Court clerk, and statewide custodians
  • Official check steps: how Wisconsin DOJ name-based records and fingerprint-supported history differ
  • Record remedies: how Wisconsin's narrow expungement rule differs from a CIB correction or removal request

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not part of Florence County, a Wisconsin court, the sheriff, DOJ, or DOC. Those limits matter:

  • We do not issue certified court documents, police reports, or Wisconsin criminal histories
  • We cannot submit public-record requests, expungement papers, or CIB challenges for a reader
  • We do not conduct official background checks or retrieve a person's file
  • We cannot interpret how a warrant, charge, or court order applies to a specific situation
  • We cannot promise that a government fee, official, schedule, or contact detail has not changed

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Florence County Sheriff, Clerk of Circuit Court, or Wisconsin DOJ Crime Information Bureau. We can identify that office, but we cannot supply its record.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes found on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We neither set the provider's charge nor determine what its search returns.
